Bubb Breakdown

Welcome to this week's edition of the Bubb Breakdown -- a post for all those fans of Bubbs and Bubb-related news.
  • Heidi and Jared's deregulation of treat consumption on Halloween ended in tragedy Friday night when Bronwyn, flush with chocolate, consumed far more than her little stomach could handle. Around 11:30 p.m. Bronwyn's stomach crashed, the effects of which are still being felt today as Heidi is still doing load after load of laundry to clean up the mess. Puppy and Bronwyn's duvet were the worst hit by the event, but it also hit all of her pillows, stuffed animals, sheets, her jammies and the walls around her bed. Heidi and Jared rushed to pass strict candy consuming regulations Saturday morning to stave off another disaster. 'It is always easier to prevent a mess than clean it up,' Jared said when asked for comment. 'Next year, strict regulations will be in place from the beginning and we will spread the wealth around, making sure that only a few pieces of candy are eaten in any given day

  • Saturday night was Bonfire Night (An English holiday that celebrates the capture and execution of Guy Fawkes, a dude who wanted to blow up parliament). Unfortunately, it was 'pissing down rain' and the partygoers spent nearly an hour huddling under umbrellas and fogging up the windows in their cars. Finally, the weather gods smiled upon the proceedings and the fire was lit. Ulysses, Bronwyn, and Thorunn danced around like pagans. Sparklers abounded and Heidi and Jared drank pink lemonade instead of the beer, hard cider, and mulled wine on offer. Around 10 p.m. the Bubbs went home to let the real party begin.
  • Ulysses was home from school last week. Heidi and the girls enjoyed his company and were sorry to see him go back to school.
  • Thorunn is feeling better and her good personality has returned. Said a relieved Heidi: 'Thank goodness. I mean I loved her, but it was hard to like her.'
  • In related news, Thorunn has joined the funny club.
  • UPDATE: Puppy has survived Bronwyn's stomach crash '08. The future of the duvet still remains unclear.

ah.... What to do with an obnoxious ammount of candy?
Perhaps you dole it out in people's lunches for months,so that in time it is often bitten into and discarded. Or perhaps... you let everyone eat as much as they want but first you put down plastic tarps. Then again, you could do as my brother Jeff did, keep all his candy and sell it to Jory and I for months at a huge mark up. Thoughts to ponder...

I love that picture of Thorunn. She is definately headed to the funny club.

I am glad Puppy isn't now Barfy. It is a problem. Luckily, Puppy can have plenty of baths in the sink, the tub and the washer to come back from that umm...hmmm... little misfortunate incident.
